Interface & typography
The manual noise-dissolve gallery adapts a React component supplied for this portfolio. Its snippet did not include author or licence details; its original attribution remains to be established before publication. Unused supplied components remain in the source.
The editorial layout adapts the Lovable template supplied by Gabriel. Its sample identity, employment history and stock imagery have been replaced with Gabriel’s documented content and real project media.
Button and tab primitives are adapted from shadcn/ui (MIT). Icons are from Lucide (ISC). Instrument Serif is by the Instrument Serif Project Authors; Space Mono is by the Space Mono Project Authors. Both are served locally under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Instrument Serif licence · Space Mono licence. Motion is retained under its free MIT library licence.
FlyBrain anatomy & images
FlyBrain uses subsets of the BANC Drosophila connectome, pinned to version v888. Data: Alexander S. Bates and collaborators, BANC v888 — Brain-and-nerve-cord connectome, Harvard Dataverse (2026), CC BY 4.0. The project’s import record identifies release 3.0 and materialization 888. The screenshots are actual local project captures. The 2D figure contains 83 sourced cells and two engineered contact cells; the separate 3D lab models a 589-cell subset with anatomical context.
Source anatomy establishes structural provenance. Simulation dynamics, encoders, effective weights and motor readouts include modeling assumptions and engineered components. The 3D teacher-controlled preview does not demonstrate learned neural flight. CC BY 4.0 licence.
Project media
The Hearth prototype screenshots, silent screen recording, concept phone mockup and livestream workflow image were supplied by Gabriel for this portfolio. The phone mockup is labelled as a concept exploration.
The tricycle workshop photographs and riding video were also supplied by Gabriel. They show the physical build and its fabrication. The web video is a silent copy of the supplied recording; original files are retained in the local project.
The new FlyBrain captures include front and oblique views of the brain and ventral nerve cord, and a teacher-controlled flower-contact demonstration captured locally on 10 October 2026. Anatomical context includes the full brain outline, while the modeled circuit remains a subset. BANC-derived anatomy is attributed above under CC BY 4.0.
The homepage’s static FlyBrain image is the opening frame of a sequence captured locally on 13 October 2026 from the existing viewer with simulation paused and source geometry loaded. The original 48-frame sequence and its desktop/mobile assets are retained locally for reuse. These are display captures, not a neural experiment or learned-flight demonstration. BANC anatomy remains attributed above.
Project illustrations
The drone preview is original SVG artwork and its case-study diagram explains documented project work. The automation workflow is a supplied illustration of intended architecture. Illustrations are not photographs, CAD files or running-workflow captures.
